Biography
Iriaz Rodiev is the twenty-three-year-old son of Rafael Rodiev, heir of Rodia, raised on Earth as the son of the founder of Reed Industries. From childhood he showed a talent for physics, engineering, and technology, took part in the company's projects, and dreamed of creating systems able to connect cities through light energy.
He did not know that he was born in Vorto and brought to Earth after the attempt on Rafael's life. His father's stories about mages, Alds, Grovns, and the Black Bear seemed to him like fairy tales, until the Order of Dyungius, with Alniviya's help, found him and his father and returned them to Rodia. There Iriaz learns that his father is a great mage and the founder of a state, and that he himself is the heir to his father's throne, awaited as a future magister.
Iriaz is lean, agile, clever, and emotional. In him the earthly rationality of an engineer meets the magical heritage of Rodia. His path is the transformation from a Moscow youth, used to technology and to life under his father's protection, into a leader able to stand against Namibius and take responsibility for the fate of Rodia.
