Yarog is a forest region of the Grovns in the world of Vorto. Its capital, the city of Yarog, stands by the Merk River and the Grovn Lake, where the Grovns first began to settle. This is a harsh land where Rodia's rule lies over a more ancient Grovn memory: the locals still await the return of their god — the Black Bear.
After the Liberation War, the city and the region around it became part of Rodia: it was in Yarog that Rafael fought Namibius again and drove him out of Vorto. Despite this, Yarog always remained a restless place.

History of Yarog
Founding of Yarog — year 91 BLW
With Namibius's help, the Grovns found the state of Yarog and build its namesake capital where the Merk River flows into the Grovn Lake.
Defeat of Namibius — year 1 ALW
After the Liberation War, Rafael defeats Namibius in Yarog and banishes him back to his dimension. Yarog becomes a region within Rodia.
The Closing of Yarog — year 998 ALW
Ariviy hands Chief Ugord a shard of Namibius's staff. The gates of Yarog close. The Grovns drive out outsiders, expand the underground caves, and caravans of weapons arrive from Peris.
The Return of Namibius — year 999 ALW
Gates open by the Grovn Lake. Namibius returns, takes the form of the Black Bear, declares Yarog independent from Rodia, and begins preparing to seize Vorto anew.
